Let’s be honest—digging through a messy spice drawer while cooking is not the vibe. I finally had enough and gave mine a much-needed glow-up! The result? A functional, stylish, and easy-to-maintain kitchen organization system that makes cooking way more enjoyable.

If your spice drawer looks anything like my “before” situation, don’t worry—I got you! Here’s how I transformed it step by step to create a more efficient and aesthetically pleasing kitchen interior design.

The Problem: Total Chaos

Before the makeover, my spice drawer was a mess. Half-used packets, mismatched jars, and a constant treasure hunt every time I needed paprika. Not ideal for an efficiently organized kitchen space!

A Simple & Aesthetic Organization System

I wanted something that looked clean, uniform, and practical, so I invested in a few essentials:

✔ 720 ml Glass jars for spices – Easy to stack, store, and refill. I got mine with a gold lid from Woolworth for 1€, so if you live in Germany, check your local store! Otherwise, here is an alternative from Amazon for 0.95€.

✔ 1000ml glass containers for pantry staples – Perfect for oats, brown sugar, quinoa, couscous, granola, loose tea and more. Mine are from Action and cost 2€ (if I remember correctly), but here’s an Amazon alternative for 4.67€

Glass bottles for oils & vinegars – No more mismatched supermarket bottles ruining the aesthetic. I got a 2-pack from Amazon for 22.99€

Minimalist labels – Because guessing spices mid-recipe is a risky game! I ordered mine from Etsy for about 80 cents per label—I simply sent the seller a list of all the spice names I needed. I got a nice discount as I ordered a lot! If you have a Cricut, you could print them yourself!

Step-by-Step: How I Created My Dream Spice Organization

1️⃣ Wash & Prep: First, I washed all the glass containers—because hygiene is key in kitchen organization!

2️⃣ Refill & Sort: The most satisfying part—pouring everything into uniform jars for a seamless kitchen interior look.

3️⃣ Label Everything: No more confusion! Clean, simple labels make a huge difference in a well-organized kitchen.

4️⃣ Arrange the Drawer: I placed everything based on how often I use it—spices, grains, and oils now all have a designated spot, maximizing efficiency and accessibility.

The Result: A Functional & Stylish Spice Drawer

Now, instead of chaos, I have a neatly organized, visually pleasing spice drawer that enhances my overall kitchen design. Cooking is easier, faster, and so much more enjoyable with a system that works!
